If you’re looking for the best neighborhood to work/live/play without the Uptown price, this neighborhood would be perfect for you to call home. While you can still walk to Starbucks or Velvet Taco, you can also enjoy shopping at places like the Apple Store, Restoration Hardware, and Crate and Barrel.

The Good

  • You can still walk to everything from restaurants/coffee shops to grocery stores
  • Close highway access
  • A mix between contemporary single family homes, townhomes, and apartments

The Bad

  • There is late night music and noise until 2am
  • The street is under constant construction, but our fingers are crossed it will be done soon
  • The neighborhood is full of character, but it is still transitioning, so there is a mixture of eclectic home types

This neighborhood is perfect for those that focus on fitness. You have Orange Theory, Core Power Yoga, and even the intense Cave Fit Club. There’s even Camp Gladiator in the Trader Joe’s parking lot!

Brunch is no stranger to this neighborhood. You can find delectable foodie dishes at Smithy, known for their Hangover 2.0 sandwich and biscuits the size of pancakes…or Toulouse, a French cafe with handcrafted cocktails and great wine. Henry’s Majestic is known for their bubbles bar, and when you leave go around the corner and try to find Atwater, a speakeasy hidden through alley doors. If the nightlife is more your scene, 77 Degrees has a rooftop Miami vibe, and you won’t miss their neon lights. There is a small hot pocket of bars that provide bottle service and plush lounge vibes, like Felix Culpa.

If you are looking to buy, this neighborhood is transitioning into more contemporary modern single family homes, contemporary townhomes, and condos. Most apartment complexes are newer and include nice finish outs. You are a short walk away to Lower Greenville. Our owner flipped her 1930’s East Dallas Austin-stone cottage and moved into a modern 3-story “Urban Treehouse” in the heart of Knox-Henderson.
